Federico Finchelstein

Federico Finchelstein is an Argentine historian, Professor of History and University in Exile Research Professor at The New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College, where he also serves as chair of the history department and director of the Janey Program in Latin American Studies.[1][4] He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Buenos Aires and his PhD from Cornell University in 2006, and previously taught at Brown University.[1][2] An expert on fascism, populism, dictatorships, Dirty Wars, the Holocaust, and Jewish history in Latin America and Europe, he has authored numerous books including 'The Wannabe Fascists' (2024) and contributed to publications like The Guardian and The New York Times.[1][3][4]
