Eve Darian-Smith

Eve Darian-Smith is a Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Global and International Studies at the University of California, Irvine, with training as a lawyer, historian, and anthropologist.[1][2] She previously served as a professor at UC Santa Barbara from 1995 to 2017, authoring numerous award-winning books on global law, societies, indigenous peoples, and crises of democracy, including *Bridging Divides* (1999, Herbert Jacob Book Prize winner) and *Global Burning*.[1][2][4]
