Eurostat

Eurostat is not an individual author but the European Statistical Office (DG ESTAT), a Directorate-General of the European Commission based in Luxembourg City. It provides high-quality statistical information to EU institutions and promotes harmonized statistical methods across member states and candidates. Established in the early 1950s, it has grown from seven pioneers to about 700 employees, supporting European integration.
