Eugenie Fernandes (Author, Illustrator)

Eugenie Fernandes is a celebrated Canadian children's book author and illustrator who has illustrated more than 90 books and written 17 for children.[5] She grew up on Long Island, New York, where her father was an early comic book illustrator, and later moved to Canada where she has lived near Peterborough, Ontario since 1984.[5] Her work explores themes of courage, kindness, and nature, and she has received numerous accolades including a Governor General's Literary Award shortlist nomination for her book Earth Magic.[1]
