Eugene R. Tempel is an American scholar and author in the field of philanthropy and nonprofit management. He is Professor Emeritus of Philanthropic Studies and Founding Dean Emeritus of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and also served as President Emeritus of the Indiana University Foundation. He is widely recognized for helping build philanthropic studies as an academic field and for authoring and editing works on fundraising and philanthropy.[1][4]
