Eugene Lyons

Eugene Lyons (1898–1985) was an American journalist and author born in the Russian Empire who became known for his reporting from Moscow and his later anti-communist writing. He wrote several books on the Soviet Union, including *Assignment in Utopia* and *The Red Decade*, and later authored a biography of Herbert Hoover.
