Eugene IZZI
Eugene Izzi (1953–1996) was an American crime writer known for his hard-boiled novels set in his lifelong home of Chicago. He published works like The Take (1987), Bad Guys (1988), and others under St. Martin’s Press and Bantam Books, as well as three novels under the pseudonym Nick Gaitano. Izzi is best remembered for the mysterious circumstances of his 1996 suicide, staged to appear as a murder by an Indiana militia group.[1][2][3]
