Ester Boserup

Ester Boserup was a Danish economist and development researcher known for her pioneering work on agricultural intensification, population growth, and women's roles in economic development. Her influential book 'Woman's Role in Economic Development' (1970) challenged prevailing Western assumptions and laid foundations for feminist and development economics. She also contributed to theories of land use and technological change, arguing that population pressure can drive agricultural innovation.
