Esmé Raji Codell is an American author known for acclaimed children's and young adult books, including *Sahara Special*, *Vive La Paris*, and the memoir *Sing a Song of Tuna Fish*. She is also a former teacher, bookseller, and children's librarian who lives in Chicago and writes about children's literature and education.[1][2]
