Erri De Luca, born Enrico De Luca on May 20, 1950, in Naples, Italy, is a renowned Italian novelist, poet, translator, and journalist known for his engaging style and political engagement. He has published over 60 works spanning novels, poetry, essays, and theater, with his books translated into more than 30 languages.
