Ernie Colon

Ernie Colón was a renowned Puerto Rican-American comic book artist celebrated for his wide-ranging career spanning over 60 years, creating iconic works in children's comics, superheroes, horror, and political nonfiction. He is best known for co-creating characters like Arak, Son of Thunder and Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld, and for illustrating the bestselling graphic adaptation of The 9/11 Commission Report. Colón passed away at the age of 88 from colorectal cancer, leaving behind a legacy as a master of the comics form.
