Erle Stanley Gardner
Erle Stanley Gardner was an American author and lawyer best known for creating the Perry Mason series of legal detective stories, writing nearly 100 detective and mystery novels that sold over 300 million copies worldwide.[1][2][5] He practiced law until 1933, when he became a full-time writer, and founded the Court of Last Resort to investigate potential wrongful convictions.[3][4] Gardner was one of the most prolific and best-selling authors of the 20th century.[5][6]
