Eric Kimmel

Eric A. Kimmel is an American author of over 150 children's books, renowned for retellings of folktales, especially Yiddish and Hasidic stories, including Caldecott Honor Book Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he earned degrees from Lafayette College, New York University, and the University of Illinois, and taught at Indiana University South Bend and Portland State University, where he is Professor Emeritus.[1][2][3]
