Eoin Colfer

Eoin Colfer is an Irish author best known for his bestselling Artemis Fowl series, which has sold over 21 million copies worldwide and been translated into 44 languages. Born in Wexford, Ireland, in 1965, he began his career as a primary school teacher before achieving success with his debut novel Benny and Omar in 1998 and leaving teaching to write full-time after Artemis Fowl in 2001. His works span children's fantasy, young adult novels, and adult fiction, including collaborations like And Another Thing… for the Hitchhiker's Guide series and recent titles such as Highfire and Global.[1][2]
