Emma Cayley
Professor Emma Cayley is Head of the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies and Professor of Medieval French at the University of Leeds, specializing in medieval French literature, society, and culture from 1300-1550, as well as gender studies, manuscript studies, and digital humanities.[1][4] She joined the University of Leeds in September 2019 after leaving the University of Exeter, and holds a BA in French and Latin, an MSt in European Literature, an MA from Merton College, and a DPhil from St Anne’s College, Oxford (2003).[1][2] She previously served at the University of Exeter and is involved in roles such as Chair of UCFL and Co-Chair of AHA, with interests including playing card collecting.[2][4]
