Emily Mester

Emily Mester is a writer from the suburban Midwest and the author of the essay collection *American Bulk*, which explores consumerism, body politics, class anxiety, and family inheritance. She holds an MFA in nonfiction from the University of Iowa, where she won the Prairie Lights Nonfiction Prize, and she lives in New York.
