Emily M. Danforth is an American author born in Miles City, Montana, known for her acclaimed young adult novel The Miseducation of Cameron Post and her adult gothic horror-comedy Plain Bad Heroines. She holds an MFA from the University of Montana and a PhD from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and her work often explores themes of LGBT identity, coming-of-age, and queerness. Danforth lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her wife.
