Emelio Betances

Emelio R. Betances is a sociologist who holds a doctorate from Rutgers University (1989) and has served as a professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla and the City University of New York. He founded and directed the Latin American Studies Program at Gettysburg College for ten years starting in 1990 and currently conducts research on the teacher movement in Mexico.
