Elżbieta Ettinger

Elżbieta Ettinger (1925–2005) was a Polish-American Jewish novelist, biographer, and professor of literature who survived World War II as a member of the resistance movement. She taught at MIT, contributing significantly to its Program in Writing and Humanistic Studies, and authored notable works including the biography 'Rosa Luxemburg: A Life.' Ettinger passed away from heart failure in her Cambridge home at age 80.
