Ellis Cashmore

Ellis Cashmore is a sociologist, cultural critic, and author who has published extensively on celebrity culture, media, racism, and sport.[2] He is currently a visiting professor of sociology at Aston University and has previously held academic positions at universities in the USA, Hong Kong, and the UK, including Staffordshire University where he was a professor of culture, media and sport.[2][3] He has authored numerous books including biographies of Elizabeth Taylor and boxer Mike Tyson.[1][3]
