Ellen Wittlinger

Ellen Wittlinger (1948–2022) was an American author of young adult fiction known for realistic, socially engaged novels featuring LGBTQ+ characters. Her best-known book, Hard Love, won a Printz Honor and a Lambda Literary Award, and she also wrote Parrotfish, Blind Faith, Sandpiper, Heart on My Sleeve, Zigzag, and Love & Lies: Marisol's Story.
