Elizabeth Partridge
Elizabeth Partridge is an American author of young-adult nonfiction, picture books, and photography books, including acclaimed biographies of Dorothea Lange, Woody Guthrie, and John Lennon.[1][4] Daughter of photographer Rondal Partridge and granddaughter of Imogen Cunningham, she practiced acupuncture for over 20 years after studying women's studies at UC Berkeley and traditional Chinese medicine before becoming a full-time writer.[2][3][4] Her works have earned numerous awards, including the National Book Award finalist, Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and the 2023 Sibert Medal.[1][4]
