Elizabeth Lawrence
Elizabeth Lawrence (1904–1985) was a pioneering American horticulture writer and landscape architect, renowned as one of the finest garden writers of the 20th century and a leading authority on Southern gardening. She became the first woman to graduate with a degree in Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University in 1932 and authored influential works such as 'A Southern Garden' and 'Gardening for Love'.
