Elizabeth Gilbert
Elizabeth Gilbert is an American journalist and author best known for her 2006 memoir Eat, Pray, Love, which sold over 12 million copies worldwide and was adapted into a 2010 film starring Julia Roberts. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, she grew up on a family Christmas tree farm, attended New York University studying political science, and worked various jobs before publishing her first short story collection Pilgrims. Her works span memoir, fiction, and nonfiction, including bestsellers like Big Magic and novels such as City of Girls and The Signature of All Things.
