Elizabeth Berg
Elizabeth Berg is an American novelist and former registered nurse, born on December 2, 1948, in St. Paul, Minnesota. She began her writing career publishing personal essays and short stories in magazines before debuting as a novelist with Durable Goods in 1993, which became a national bestseller along with many subsequent works recognized by the American Library Association and Oprah’s Book Club. Her character-focused stories explore family life, personal change, resilience, love, and hope, with over 4 million copies of her books in print.[1][2][7]
