Elisabeth Ogilvie

Elisabeth M. Ogilvie (1917-2006) was an American novelist best known for her series of 46 books set on islands off the coast of Maine, drawing from her summers on Criehaven and later life on Gay Island.[1][2] Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester and Wollaston, Massachusetts, she began her career with High Tide at Noon in 1944 and lived with companion Dorothy Simpson in Cushing, Maine.[1][2][3]
