Elinore Pruitt Stewart

Elinore Pruitt Stewart (1876–1933) was an American homesteader and memoirist who documented her life in Wyoming through letters published as Letters of a Woman Homesteader (1914) and Letters on an Elk Hunt (1915). Orphaned in her teens and raised as a single mother, she became nationally known as the 'Woman Homesteader' for her adventurous and resourceful portrayal of frontier life in the American West[1][3].
