Elijah Wilson Flake (1841-1918) was an author known for his work 'Battle Between the Merrimac and the Monitor,' a 22-page pamphlet describing the famous Civil War naval battle.[1][2][5] Little is known about his personal life beyond his writing on historical military events.[2]
