Eileen Alexander
Eileen Alexander was a British author, teacher, and translator born in 1911, known for her memoir 'Love in the Blitz,' which chronicles her wartime love letters from the summer of 1939. She graduated from Girton College, Cambridge with a first-class degree in English, worked for the Air Ministry during World War II, and later became a visiting fellow in Social Policy at LSE.
