Edward van de Vendel
Edward van de Vendel, born on August 1, 1964, in Leerdam, Netherlands, is a Dutch teacher-turned-author, poet, and writer of children's and young adult literature, including novels, poetry, picture books, and non-fiction.[1][2] He published his first children's book in 1996 and became a full-time writer in 2001, founding the Slash book series and the Blauw Gras publishing house in 2023.[2] His works, primarily published by Querido and De Eenhoorn, have earned awards like the Zilveren Griffel, Woutertje Pieterse Prijs, and Theo Thijssen-prijs in 2024.[1][2][3]
