Edward Serotta

Edward Serotta is an American-born journalist, photographer, and filmmaker specializing in Jewish life in Central and Eastern Europe, having worked on these themes since 1985. He founded Centropa, a Jewish historical institute headquartered in Vienna, Austria, in 2000 to preserve Jewish memory using new technologies. His three books on Jewish life include Survival in Sarajevo (1994), Jews, Germany, Memory (1996), and Out of the Shadows (1991), and his photographs are held in permanent museum collections in the United States and Israel.
