Edward Sapir
Edward Sapir (1884–1939) was a leading American linguist and anthropologist, best known for his work on Native American languages and for helping found ethnolinguistics. He was also a major figure in the development of descriptive structural linguistics and wrote the influential book "Language" (1921).
