Edward N Kelley
Edward Kelley (1555–1597/8), also known as Edward Talbot, was an English Renaissance occultist, scryer, and alchemist best known for his collaboration with John Dee in angelic communications using a crystal ball or shew-stone. He claimed the ability to transmute base metals into gold and possessed the philosopher's stone, leading to fame and imprisonment under Emperor Rudolf II in Bohemia. Legends portray him as a charismatic charlatan whose alchemical pursuits brought both fortune and downfall.
