Edward Kamau Brathwaite

Edward Kamau Brathwaite (1930–2020) was a Barbadian poet, scholar, and critic widely regarded as one of the major voices in Caribbean literature. His work explored Caribbean identity, the African diaspora, and the legacy of slavery and colonization, and he was especially known for shaping the idea of "nation language" in poetry.
