Edward Irving

Edward Irving (1792–1834) was a Scottish clergyman and preacher who became a prominent figure in London, known for his dramatic sermons and fascination with prophecy.[1][4] He played a key role in founding the Catholic Apostolic Church through the Albury Conferences and was ejected from the Church of Scotland in 1833 on charges of heresy.[1][3] Irving died at age 42 in Glasgow after a ministry marked by enthusiasm and controversy.[4]
