Edward Dorn

Edward Merton Dorn (1929–1999) was a prominent American poet and teacher known for his sharp satirical style and his association with the Black Mountain poets. His magnum opus, the long poem 'Gunslinger,' critiques the American Dream through a satirical lens and remains a cornerstone of contemporary poetry. Dorn taught at various universities across the United States before passing away from pancreatic cancer in Denver, Colorado.
