Eduard von Hartmann

Eduard von Hartmann was a German philosopher known for his philosophy of the unconscious, which he synthesized from Schopenhauer's metaphysics, Hegel's dialectics, and scientific ideas of his time. His seminal work, 'Philosophy of the Unconscious' (1869), gained widespread popularity and influenced later psychological and philosophical movements. He spent his later years in Berlin and remained a prolific writer until his death in 1906.
