Edna Obrian

Edna O’Brien was an Irish novelist, short-story writer, and screenwriter known for her evocative prose and candid portrayals of women’s inner lives, desire, and social constraints. She rose to fame with her debut novel, The Country Girls (1960), and went on to become one of Ireland’s most celebrated literary figures.
