Edith Kunhardt

Edith Kunhardt Davis (1937-2020), daughter of Dorothy Kunhardt, author of the classic *Pat the Bunny*, wrote over 65 children's books and illustrated 16, including sequels like *Pat the Christmas Bunny* and *Pat the Puppy*, as well as *Pompeii... Buried Alive!* and the picture book biography *Honest Abe*. Born Edith Turner Kunhardt in Morristown, New Jersey, she graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1959 with a degree in art history and worked as an editor at Golden Books.[1][2][3][4]
