Edgar Wallace

Edgar Wallace was a prolific British author, journalist, and playwright best known for his detective and thriller fiction. Born in poverty in Greenwich, he went on to become one of the most popular and commercially successful English writers of his generation, publishing more than 170 books and contributing to the modern thriller genre.
