Edgar L Hewett

Edgar Lee Hewett (1865–1946) was an American archaeologist and anthropologist known for his work on Native American communities in New Mexico and the southwestern United States. He helped secure passage of the Antiquities Act, founded and led the Museum of New Mexico, and served as the first president of the New Mexico Normal School, now New Mexico Highlands University.[1][3]
