Ed Briant

Ed Briant is a British-born author, illustrator, and sequential artist known for children's books such as A Day at the Beach (2006) and the web comic Tales of the Slush Pile. Before focusing on children's literature, he worked as an illustrator and caricature artist for publications including Newsweek, New York Times, and Sports Illustrated. He holds degrees from Bowdoin College (B.A.), Southern Illinois University (M.A.), and University of New Hampshire (Ph.D.), and serves as an associate professor at Maine College of Art.
