Earle F Zeigler

Earle F. Zeigler (1919-2018) was a prominent scholar in kinesiology and physical education, authoring 57 books and 445 journal articles on sport philosophy, history, management, and professional preparation from 1948 to 2015. He taught and led programs at Yale, University of Michigan, University of Illinois, and Western University, where he served as Dean and Professor Emeritus after retiring at age 70. Zeigler received numerous honors, including Fellow of the Academy (1966), its Presidency (1981-1982), and the namesake Earle F. Zeigler Lecture Award from the North American Society for Sport Management.
