E Nesbit
Edith Nesbit (1858–1924) was an influential English author and poet, best known for her pioneering children's adventure stories such as The Railway Children, Five Children and It, and The Story of the Treasure Seekers. She wrote over 60 books for children, collaborated on many others, and was a political activist who co-founded the Fabian Society. Nesbit's unconventional life included a bohemian lifestyle, multiple relationships, and advocacy for socialism.
