E. D Hirsch

E. D. Hirsch Jr. is an American educator, literary critic, and educational reformer best known for his concept of cultural literacy and his 1987 book 'Cultural Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know.' He is the founder and chairman of the Core Knowledge Foundation and a professor emeritus of education and humanities at the University of Virginia.
