Dr. Valerie Allen

Dr. Valerie Allen is a professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY, where she has taught since 1999. She studies medieval literature and culture, philosophy, and the history of ideas, and has published works including Roadworks: Medieval Britain, medieval roads, On Farting: Language and Laughter in the Middle Ages, and New Casebooks: Chaucer.
