Dr. Sasha K. Shillcutt MD

Dr. Sasha K. Shillcutt, MD, MS, FASE, is a tenured Professor, Dr. Gail Walling Yanney Professor of Anesthesiology, and Vice Chair of Strategy in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she practices cardiothoracic anesthesiology and advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography.[1][2][3] She graduated from UNMC College of Medicine in 2003, completed residencies in internal medicine (2004) and anesthesiology (2007), and a fellowship in 2008, and is an NIH-funded researcher, gender equity expert, speaker, and author of books like Brave Boundaries.[2][3][4][6] As founder and CEO of Brave Enough, she advocates for women in medicine while serving as a wife and mother of four.[3][6]
