Dr. Michael Benton

Michael James Benton is a British palaeontologist and professor of vertebrate palaeontology at the University of Bristol. He is renowned for his work on large-scale evolution of major groups such as dinosaurs, mass extinctions, and biodiversity changes through time. Benton has authored over 50 books and 400 scientific papers, and was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in 2014 for his fundamental contributions to understanding the history of life.
