Dr. Mark Hyman MD

Mark Hyman, MD (born November 22, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan) is an American physician, family practitioner, and leading advocate for functional medicine, known for addressing root causes of chronic disease through nutrition and lifestyle.[1][2] He founded The UltraWellness Center, co-founded Function Health where he serves as Chief Medical Officer, and previously directed the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine; he is a sixteen-time New York Times bestselling author and host of The Dr. Hyman Show podcast.[1][2] Hyman began his career as a family physician in rural Idaho and emergency physician in Massachusetts, later serving as co-medical director at Canyon Ranch before promoting functional medicine globally.[1]
