Dr. Joshua Aaron Bowen is an Assyriologist with a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in 2017, specializing in Sumerian language and the lamentational liturgies of the city of Kiš. Formerly a committed Evangelical Christian pastor, he transitioned through atheism to agnosticism after academic pursuits in ancient Near Eastern studies.
